database
The PCT
database is part of the WIPO
Intellectual Property Digital Library,
contains the first page data
(bibliographic data, abstract and
drawing) of published PCT applications.
The first page data of applications
published each week in Section I of the
Gazette are added weekly to the database.
The database currently contains data
relating to applications published from
January 1, 1997.
- Thomson
Delphion
The Delphion Intellectual Property
Network (IPN) provides access to a wide
variety of patent data collections and
related information. Searching, browsing,
and viewing of patents is free. The IPN
also features the IP Pages, a directory
of patent and IP-related resources.
Optional fee-based services include
document delivery, licensing buttons,
data mining and analysis tools and value
added content from leading industry
providers. The IPN is e-commerce enabled
to allow immediate electronic delivery of
many services.
This service provides coverage of
(a) US Patent text from
5 January 1971 to present.
(b) US Patent images
from 01 January 1974 to present.
(c) EPA Patent text and
images from 10 January 1979 to present.
(d) EPB Patent text and
images from 09 January 1980 to present.
(e) PCT Patent text from
01 January 1997 to present.
(f) PCT Patent images
from 01 January 1998 to present.
(g) JP Patent text and
images from January 1994 to present.
(h) INPADOC is one of
the most comprehensive patent collections
in the world. It contains patent family
documents and legal status information
from 65 and 22 patent offices,
respectively. The Intellectual Property
Network brings together both of these
pieces of information into a single
searchable database and makes available
30 million patent family documents and 45
million legal status actions.
- PCTPAT
The PCT Patent Applications Database on
the Questel-Orbit
Network - This database covers
applications filed under the PCT (Patent
Convention Treaty) and provides
bibliographic information, abstracts and
drawings. ($)
- PATOSWO
The PATOSWO (PATent-Online-System
WOrld) Database is hosted on the STN
Network. The database provides
coverage of bibliographic information and
the abstracts of International Patent
Applications (PCT-applications) published
by the World Intellectual Property
Organization (WIPO) from 1978 onwards. ($)
- SurfIP.gov.sg
The SurfIP.gov.sg
is an Intellectual Property site for
integrated and customised searching of
various patent office databases (CA, EP,
SG, TW, UK, US, WO) as well as web
sources for IP information.
This site is a special project by the Intellectual
Property Office of Singapore (IPOS)
in promoting IP information awareness and
usage by harnessing IT power.

- The Madrid
Express database is part of the WIPO
Intellectual Property Digital Library,
includes data relating to international
applications and subsequent designations
that have been received by the
International Bureau but have not yet
been recorded in the international
register of marks, as well as data
relating to international registrations
and subsequent designations that have
been recorded but not yet published in
the WIPO Gazette of International
Marks. The database is refreshed
daily.
- TRADEMARKSCAN - International
Registry (WIPO) - This database
is hosted on the Dialog
Network. This database is useful as
a preliminary trademark screening tool
for checking on the availability of new
product and service names. ($)
