"We review a weekly report issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published as a Gazette. Once a month we make a thourough search of the Internet for any company names, website domain names, or common use of marks that are similar to our clients marks. We provide a preliminary search to look for similarities to the mark clients are considering for registration. Once a mark is obtained for sentry, application and/or registration, we enter all data into a computer docketing system. Any information obtained on this mark from the USPTO or any other source is entered into this system. There are many deadlines for applications and renewals which are required in the process of obtaining registration of a mark with the USPTO.  These renewal and deadline dates are triggered by dates entered into the docketing system and printed in reports for our use in preparation of follow-up documents."
