  • DrugTerm
    The Australian Pharmaceutical Patent Term Extensions Database (DrugTerm) provides comprehensive coverage of all Australian patents granted extensions of term under section 70 of the Australian Patents Act. This database is produced and maintained by IP Organisers Pty Ltd, one of Australia's leading intellectual property research companies. IP Organisers also produces IP Menu™, the free, global guide to intellectual property resources on the internet.   • DEPATISnet
    DEPATISnet is a service provided to you by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. You can conduct online searches in patent publications from around the world stored in the database of DEPATIS, the in-house patent information system of the GPTO. When a search has been performed, the result list will be displayed.

    Edital's offer online resources of worldwide patent (E-Pat) and trademark (E-Mark) laws.
  • Esp@cenet
    Esp@cenet provides access to the bibliographic data of all patents published in the preceding two years by any member state of the European Patent Organisation, as well as by the European Patent Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). In addition, full-page facsimile images of documents are also retrievable to facilitate more detailed analysis of these documents.
  • IBM Technical Disclosures
    The IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletins (TDB) hosted on the IBM Intellectual Property Network contains TDB from 1958. Technical Disclosure Bulletins are published as defensive disclosures of inventions that did not actually become patents. The January 1998 issue was the final issue of the IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletin published by the IBM Corporation. IBM technical disclosures published after February 1998 will be available for a fee through Research Disclosure. IBM technical disclosures published in the IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletin up to September 1997 are now viewable online from Delphion's Intellectual Property Network Web site.

    The INPADOC Database is produced by the European Patent Office and is hosted on many databases including Questel-Orbit, Dialog and STN Networks. Included are PFS ( Patent Families) and PRS (Legal Status Information), produced by the EPO, the largest patent databases in the world in terms of both the countries and time-span covered. One deals with all patent documents applied in 65 patent offices worldwide, the other with the legal status of patents (are they in force or not) in 22 patent offices.     The free (subscription required) INPADOC database hosted in India, by the National Informatics Centre of the Government of India.
  • IP Newsflash
    A very useful website for intellectual property professionals. It displays current caselaw, notices of patent and trademark offices and press from all over the world. And you can customize the content to suit your needs when registered (free).
    IP Newsflash is a non-profit website, which is maintained by Rolf Claessen (openBC profile, vCard) as a hobby. Rolf Claessen holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the State University of New York and works for v. Kreisler Selting Werner.

Bibliographic data, abstracts, drawings and images of PCT pamphlets are provided for all published and republished international applications in the collection.

  • International Patent Classification (IPC)
    "The Classification is periodically revised in order to improve the system and to take account of technical development. The current, eighth, edition of the IPC entered into force on January 1, 2006."
  • PATIPC
    Patent International Patent Classification is produced by WIPO and DPMA and is hosted on the STN Network. The database contains the English text of the International Patent Classification (IPC) for editions 1-7 and the German text of the IPC for editions 4-7.  Additionally, the database contains the Catchword Index (Stich- und Schlagwoerterverzeichnis) of edition 7 as provided by the DPMA. The Catchword Index is available in English and German.
